Pletronics Inc. is a USA based manufacturer of high quality frequency control products in thru-hole and surface mount packages. The Pletronics product line includes crystals (for microprocessors and communication equipment), crystal filters and crystal oscillators (CMOS, TTL, PECL & LVDS clock oscillators, OCXO, VCXO, TCXO, and TCVCXO).
Lynnwood, Washington is the home of our corporate office. Research and development and quality assurance for all products are done here. Manufacturing is done in our facility in Lynnwood and our affiliate factories offshore.
Engineering and manufacturing staff are available for customer consultation and custom design. Pletronics welcomes both crystal and oscillator challenges - meeting them with high quality products, reasonable prices and USA based production and test facilities.

FD7 Series Multiple Frequency CMOS Output Clock Generator
Generates Highly-Accurate Clocks for Video, Audio, USB, IEEE1394, RFID, Single Board Computers, and Ultra Sound measurement boards.Generates Common Clock Frequencies Used with TI DaVinciTM processors, OMAPTM, DSPs BlueToothTM, WLAN, Ethernet, D-TV, HD-TV, STB, IP-STB, DVD-Player, DVD-Recorder, Printers and General Purpose Frequency Synthesizing. Ideal solution for many designs that have multiple clock needs.
- 7 independent outputs, CMOS levels optional 1.8V. 2.5V or 3.3V. Pads can be tri-state set.
- Output frequency range, 10KHz to 230MHz with optional Spread Spectrum enabled.
- Settings can be either stored in an internal eePROM, with the state selectable by input control pads.
Or it can be I2C interface controlled. - [View More Features]
Frequency stability: +/-50ppm standard, +/-25ppm and +/-20ppm optional. AT cut Quartz Crystal Reference.- VCXO function optional: +/-50ppm APR is standard
- 5x7mm 14 pad LCC ceramic package
- Temperature range -10°C to +70°C standard. -40°C to +85°C available.
- RoHS 6/6 compliant
- 4 fully independent deep M/N frequency synthesis PLLs.
- Can realize any frequency from the reference clock frequency to 230MHz within a few ppm.
- Low jitter at 60 pS typical
- Two settings for each PLL which can be selected by the control inputs.
Each PLL can have Spread Spectrum modulation of the output frequency to assist in meeting EMI compliance
- Center spread
- Down spread
- Amplitude of spread selectable and up to 2% allowed
- Reference frequency from 10MHz to 32MHz. 25MHz is a stock Pletronics stock value. The reference can be an output, the jitter will be less than 5pS
- Each PLL has 2 output dividers that can be programmed to divide from 1 to 127.
- One divider can range from 1 to 1023 and can have PLL #1 or the crystal reference as an input.
- Output Buffer Multiplexer permits the output buffer to be connected to one of the PLL output dividers. The block diagram illustrates the connection options.
- Output Signal: CMOS can be tri-state, logic low or a clock signal selected (tri state permits ‘wired OR’ of output signals). Can drive large capacitive loads.
- Operational Modes: eePROM defined states or via I2C interface and a single control line.
- Internal eePROM stores defined conditions. The state of operation selected by 3 CMOS input control lines
- Slave I2C programmable with one control input.
- The reference frequency can be modulated or changed with a voltage input. A VCXO function can be realized. +/-50ppm APR standard, up to +/-100ppm APR available.
- Supply voltages: 1.8V for the core is always needed Output buffer power supply, 1.8V, 2.5V and 3.3V options.
Pletronics provides an EXCEL based program that provides a way to define the FD7. This EXCEL file is then sent to Pletronics where a part number will be assigned and this is used to program the eePROM.

Test & Evaluation Sockets Available For Pletronics SMD LCC Crystals and Oscillators
Pletronics is stocking sockets that will hold and provide contact to the SMD oscillators. The socket has a latched top that is hinged and flips open to release the device. Some of the key features are:
- Low inductance pogo pins to minimize disturbing the signal performance of the device
- Ideal for incoming inspection and testing.
- Ideal for new circuit designs, it is easy to remove the device
Pletronics can also provide the socket mounted on a FR4 PCB based header such that the oscillator device will match the pin locations and functions of the legacy metal cased oscillators. See the Accessories section on the web to choose a specific socket type.

Short Form Product Selection Guide
Download the Pletronics Product Selection Guide (153 KB PDF). This will guide you to the most commonly stocked, cost effective parts to meet your frequency control needs.
"K" and "L" are packaging indicators used by Pletronics distributors and do not factor into Pletronics part number configuration. For information on part numbers containing "K" or "L", please omit either character to enter the correct Pletronics part number (Example: SM7745DVK-125.0M becomes SM7745DV-125.0M)
For parts supplied on tape and reel, the Pletronics part number may have -T250, -T500 or -T1K after the part number, this indicates the quantity of devices supplied per reel and is not part of the Pletronics part number. (Example: SM7745DV-125.0M-T250 becomes SM7745DV-125.0M)
